Cura Tip: Saving Slicer Settings in Readable Form

I just learned this tip. In Cura, by enabling: Cura > Extensions > Post Processing > Modify G-Code > Add Script > GCode Documentation > Advanced description, the gcode file will contain the slicer settings in readable form (unlike the default output).

Example output:

Good find @Alan thanks for sharing

Yes, thank you very much, that will be very useful to me, and I am sure to others!

I wonder if Prusa can do that somehow.

PrusaSlicer adds the setting in readable form to the end of the gcode

Also interesting. I never looked.

I’m having a doh moment. Now that you mention it I do have that slipped in recently. I didn’t know it was Prusa that did that. I changed the Marlin version so many times recently with my techie friend that I thought it was Marlin.
