M600 & Ender 3 V2

Hi all,

I’ve installed a BigTreeTech Smart Filament Sensor on my Ender 3 V2 (with Marlin fw) & Octoprint. I followed the fantastic DrVax video on a similar topic ([B]Octoprint Multicolor 3d Prints including Ender 3 V2 - Octoprint Multicolor 3d Prints including Ender 3 V2 - YouTube).
After all config, eveything seems working fine, except that after pressing “resume” in Octoprint, my Ender 3V2 seems to come back only at the right position of X&Y axes, but not for Z! So it starts to extrude in the air… ?

I’m using Cura 4.8 and I already copied&Pasted “Pause” & “Resume” codes in the related boxes within Cura as specified by DrVax.

I’m becoming crazy… I ran several tests without finding any solution…

Do you have any suggestion on how to solve this issue?

Many thanks in advance to anyone will give me some tips!
Kind regards,
Stefano

What version of the FW are you using?

I think the pros will tell you that it’s a g-code problem for whatever reason. Did you try Prusa?

What version of the FW are you using?

No, so far I’ve just tried Cura…

Finally I solved it! I realized that I had a plug-in within Octoprint called “Filament Change - M600 Rewriter (1.0.5)” and after M600 command, it was moving up to +80mm Z… Now I disabled the plugin and it works!

Well done @bulgaro80. Now your challenge is to figure out why that plugin works that way

I also followed ([B]Octoprint Multicolor 3d Prints including Ender 3 V2 - Octoprint Multicolor 3d Prints including Ender 3 V2 - YouTube).
X and Y seems to be fine but my Z lowers and scrapes/scorches the bed (not damaged)
I do not have the “Filament Change - M600 Rewriter (1.0.5)” plug-in installed

Printer: Ender 3 v2
Firmware:“bugfix-2.0.x” branch of Marlin (with #define ADVANCED_PAUSE_FEATURE and #define NOZZLE_PARK_FEATURE enabled)
Screen: Original firmware

I have the same issue, did you find a resolution?
