I’ve been waiting to respond until I received my red samples from Coex. The folks at Coex were VERY helpful and the samples were free! Thanks to @Gramps for the lead. So with all my searching I think I have finally found 2 acceptable “Christmas Red” PLA filaments: Coex “Scarlet Red” and Ziro “Bright Red Twinkling”. The Coex is a matte finish and the Ziro is shiny with some glitter in it. I still want to try Printed Solid as recommended by @Alan. The red swatches in the photo, from L to R are: eSun “Silk Red”; Topzeal “Transparent Red”; Coex “Scarlet Red”; CookieCad “Candy Apple Red”; Ziro “Bright Red Twinkling”; and GST3D “Red”.
