After seeing it on thingiverse yesterday, I downloaded, printed and installed this today:

I had to do some drilling of holes to make them large enough for the bolts to go through, and I used a soldering iron to force a couple of the nuts into the hexagonal recesses. In the end, it all came together.

It works really well. The spool is actually lower than on my previous holder, but the swivel action ensures there is minimal resistance to feeding the filament.
