Thanks for the information, that makes sense that it would have even more heat resistance than PETG.
The major alternative to ABS is ASA. It’s a little like ABS on steroids. Like ABS, its fumes are toxic. Unfortunately, its price is also on steroids
I recently started using Hatchbox PLA and really like the way it prints. Hatchbox is only selling on Amazon now and closed theie online store. The problem I have having is getting the colors I want, most are out of stock. I have thought about trying Overture PLA but don’t know much about it. I have had good luck with eSun PLA+ & Inlands PLA + which is suppose to be eSun rebranded. Tired Soulatech but didn’t have much luck with it at all, as was stated earlier it was very brittle. Also tried some Filacube PLA and for the life of me I could not get it to stick to the bed.
Any body have any experience with Overture?
I have tried Overture PLA and had OK results with it. I’m not as sold on their PETG, had mixed results. I do like ZYLtech, Zyltech Filament - ZYLtech PLA - Page 1 - ZYLtech Engineering, LLC They have a good product for a fair price. The shipping can be a little crazy. I usually play around with different quantities to see how it changes the shipping costs.
Coex is another good brand PLA Filament – COEX 3D They have free shipping on $100 + orders, so it works out about the same, a little over $20 for a 1 K spool.
Both have a very good selection of colors. If you sign up and create an account you should get notified of any sales. Both are US based, not sure if the filament is made in the US, but have good customer service.
