JST SM Hitachi connectors.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0188DMF3A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Is what I bought and even bought the tool that they show in the pic on the box.
I just wish I could find some instructions on how to use it. I think we badly used these connectors and that is giving me a thermal runway alarm sometimes.

I just found some instructions on youtube.JST SM Pin Crimp Instruction - YouTube

Those crimpers are crap; at least for me they are. I have 2 of them and they both suck.

I just looked on amazon.ca to see if it has the one I use. It does: https://www.amazon.ca/Engineer-PA-09…ps%2C68&sr=8-1. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it IMHO.

It does require crimping each connection twice: once for the bare part of the wire and once for the insulated part. The difference is that it works virtually every time. It also works for Dupont connectors. You couldn’t pay me to go back to the other crimpers.

Not only that but the crimping tool I bought is for the bigger connectors not what I use.
