First Start to Finish Project. FreeCad to Cura to Ender Pro 3

I’ve known a few people with Asperger’s. For those who don’t have it too bad, or have the right kind, it can actually be a benefit, especially to their work. It allows them to focus more strongly than most people, to concentrate more intensely. It goes to show that there are often benefits even to things that seem like handicaps. You seem to be a perfect example.

It seems hard to believe but I used to be a workaholic. I lived in six countries and did my own thing. I used to do so much and now I do so little. it is slightly humiliating.

I seem to have aquired “magic hands” and no one that knows me will say it’s not true. It is quite strange how I can massage someone in a crowded bar with everyone around and they look like they are going to have an orgasm.

Many years ago when i was a student, i tried to explain my self to one of my professors why i coudn’t read or write like normal people. I told him my brain works thousands of projects at the same time while simulate them When i read something, my eyes could not follow my brain as well as my hand in writing. So i had to invent a way to do it . I was looking at a point on the top of a page while i was reading the whole of it! I still can’t write down like normal people. And this is only the begining of my story…

It sounds extremely interesting.

A person with dyslexia ( Δυσλεξία disleksi’a in Greek ) is like a plug with three cords and the sociaty froces to plug into a wall plug for two cords. This is how a can explain this “ability”. As for the other two i mention before, Billy Gates, Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein are just examples.

Dyslexia is Greek word ( among other Greek words in English and Latin language ) tha means " difficult word-ing". Contains two words Dys - Δυσ ( Δύσκολος, δυσκολία / Difficult ) and Lexia - Λεξία that means Word act ( not sure if there is such a term in English ).

When I lived in the Dominican Republic I recognized that my friend’s daughter had dislexia. I brought it to his attention because she was having such trouble reading. And we all knew she was very smart.

Back in the '80s, there was no knowlege about dyslexia at all and students were just lazy to learn and they didn’t deserve good degrees in the class!

Teachers in my day didn’t know how to recognize it. Of course that is a while ago now.

In North America in the 60s, schools began to recognize it. There wasn’t much treatment available, but they at least recognized that the students weren’t stupid or ‘slow’.

I dropped out of college in 1965. The best thing I ever did perhaps.

My friends with college degrees always made less money than me in construction. Even before I was running the show.

@roon4660 While I do have a Computer Science Degree from the days of the dinosaurs, I was the CEO of three different software companies. I often had folks working for me with advanced degrees including MBAs, Master Degrees, and even PHDs. These folks routinely came into my office with basic questions that I would have expected them to learn about in their formal education.

There is no good or bad education. For some folks school works, for other on the job or informal education works better. The key is to always be learning.

I believe one of the most powerful impacts of the Internet is its ability to provide avenues for learning to folks without prior access. That is part of the mission of the DrVax community. To help people learn about technology together which empowers them to become “makers”, “creators”, “doers”.

This may sound like hyperbole, but I assure you it is not: the Internet literally saved my wife’s life, twice. Or, rather, the information I learned from the Internet allowed me to question how she was being treated medically and intervene to get her on a better path. She has been doing much better for several years now.

The internet is quite amazing. You can’t believe everything as I know you know but when you are searching for an answer the ability to speak to Mr. Google is very powerful and of course Youtube is part of Google. I have forced my damaged brain to learn a lot from Youtube and Google.

On another medical note I was hit by lightning probably late october 1999 and I came to Montreal with my son who was living here and going to school. I wasted 3 years hoping doctors could tell me what was wrong with me. You see that it was about ten days after I was struck that I nearly died. I was so sick it was beyond belief and all my friends had gone back to ST. Barth So When I got to Montreal with our free medical I passed three years seeing specialists after specialists and asked all of them is it possible that lightning is my problem? After three years of having them all tell me that it was impossible because they didn’t use the internet they were not aware that it is very well known in this small group of people that you can have serious things happen to you at least two years after you are hit. I learned that in one afternoon after I becamne disgusted with doctors. I joined a group of people that have been hit and had direct communication with probably the number one expert in the whole world on lightning injureies. She told me immediately that it was lightning and told me not to waste my time with doctors The best advice I have ever been give

Have you ever commuicated with that guy who was hit 9 or 11 times (can’t remember exactly how many)? I believe he was a park ranger in one of the Rocky Mountain national parks.

I only read about him I think he died of something or other. He was hit all the time because he lived way up in one of those fire lookouts and I don’t think they grounded it. I chatted with a lady that got hit three times in the same parking lot and a guy that was hit four times. Many hit twice.
