First Start to Finish Project. FreeCad to Cura to Ender Pro 3

Wich brand for TPU?

I need something that can be printed with a bowden tube.

I just erased my sd card somehow. How can I recuperate the bin file which I think I need to make it work again?

I have an ender 3 pro.

The printer should not need a firmware file on the SD card. The firmware is supposed to be burned into the firmware space on the controller board.

I got it wprking again. I just put some gcode on it and clicked on new sd card.

Exactly, all you need on the SD card, if you’re using your printer that way, is the gcode files of the things you want to print.

Thanks for your prompt reply it is always appreciated.

I wonder how all the files on it got erased. I was deleting some files from it but I don’t see how I deleted everything.

There has always been a bin file along with whatever I was printing. I think my printer recreated it.

Perhaps you’re using the card that came with the printer?

Yes I am. I did buy another but seem to have misplaced it somewhere.

So, likely, that bin file was on the card right from the beginning. You just never got rid of it.

I could always see it. But the whole card was clean this time. I will see if it has been replaced when the print finishes.

I think I can guarantee you that it will not be replaced.

You could be right but I think it did something to make the sd card readable by the printer. When I first put it in the printer with my piece of gcode on it it said no sd card. I had to click on new sd card and then back on print sd card (I don’t think they call it an sd card) I forget what the call it.

In 4 more hours I will see if the bin file has been replaced when this print finishes.

That’s quite normal if you put the SD card into the printer while it’s turned on. When you click on New SD Card you tell the printer re-read the card.

#roon4660 Is it possible to connect your printer with a laptop or pc to transfer gcodes? Of course there is Octoprint for this ( for Marlin ), but have you ever try it before?

I can connect directly but hardly ever do it.

My chord that connects the computer to the printer is so short it is a nuisance. I only have one computer so I’m glad they don’t have to be connected.
