Ender 3 V2 calibration

I checked my extruder calibration ala https://all3dp.com/2/extruder-calibration-6-easy-steps-2/ and needed to change the setting from the E093 that I found to E097.6. So I was under-extruding by about 5%.

Is there other low-hanging fruit I should check for dialing-in my printer?

Thanks

I’m now doing what this guy does: [U]Best method for 3D printer bed levelling - YouTube

Basically, it’s an addon to the bed leveling procedure using a sheet of paper. He further refines the process by printing small, 1-layer squares at the corners and center of his bed. I tried it and found it really makes a difference. Since you have a BL Touch, this could be a way to verify your BL Touch is fully dialed in.

A level bed and good first layer are key, in my opinion.

Cheers!

Yea i did the 100 mm extruder test when i replaced the stock plastic extruder on my ender 3 v2 with a all metal one. It was dead on…I replaced it because the plastic one broke when I was replacing the filament. Broke underneath so you couldn’t see it but could feel it give when i push the lever in to remove the filament.

Another case where I just needed to find what DrVAX had already covered with a video. Just ran across that one a couple of days ago.

Time to pop some popcorn and binge watch the DrVAX archive.
