I have been trying to reset my password due to the new platform for a couple of weeks. It turns out that the password reset email goes to my Yahoo spam folder since they consider it spam. The other issue is it shows up there 4-7 hours after I request a password reset. The new platform is delaying sending the email or it is a Yahoo issue. I tried to reset yesterday afternoon and received the email last night. I looked for it early this morning and it had not timed out so I was able to enter a password. I thought I would mention it in case someone wants to look into it.
Thank you for posting this questions.
In Yahoo email you can add an address to the approved sender list. Just look at the password reset email and copy the form address exactly as Yahoo is presenting it. Then follow these instructions:
Yahoo
In Yahoo Mail, your Contacts list is your whitelist. To add the From Address to your Yahoo Contacts:
- Open your Yahoo mailbox.
- Click the address book icon under the Yahoo! Mail logo. When you roll your mouse over it, it will say Contacts.
- Click “New Contact”.
- Fill in the fields of your Contact.
- Click Save and mail from this sender should now be delivered to your Inbox.
The main point that I was trying to make is the 4 - 7 hour delay in getting the password reset email.
I had the same delay and eventually locked myself out. Mr. Shapiro helped me overcome the automation.

Angelo,
Unfortunately this is a Yahoo email issue.
A potential solution is to add the email address in the email reset email — when it does show up hours later – to your address book. I believe Yahoo will allow emails from people in your address book.
I hope this helps.
